Question Printer output issues (faded colors & missing lines) – what should I check first?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been having some issues with my printer lately and was hoping to get some advice from more experienced users here.
The problem is that my prints are coming out with faded colors and sometimes there are missing lines in the output. It’s not happening on every print, but often enough to be frustrating especially when printing anything important.
I’ve already checked the basics like ink levels, and they seem fine. I also tried restarting the printer and my system, but the issue is still there.
Before I start changing settings randomly or replacing parts, I wanted to ask:

• What’s the first thing you usually check in this situation?
• Could this be a printhead issue or something related to alignment?
• Is there an easy way to diagnose whether it’s a hardware issue or just a settings problem?

I’m trying to avoid wasting ink and paper while troubleshooting, so any step-by-step advice would really help.

We would need more information. Printer model, a nozzle test print to start with. It could literally be a hundred different things are causing the problem
