Printer Problems! Is something stuck?

Well, I have a bad head so I changed it. It's still doing this where it prints fine then suddenly starts smearing. I also changed the maintenance cartridge as it was almost ready anyway.

I'm guessing there is something caught under the cartridge, maybe a piece of paper or soemthing? I did't have a jam recently so not sure where it would come from.

How do I get under there to see?

You can turn the printer off and manually pull the maintenance cartridge out of the printer to check the bottom of the carriage. Once you are done, put the maintenance cartridge back in enough so you can close the door and turn the printer on. It will home both the maintenance cartridge and carriage on its own.

So, not sure what this is from...but this was hanging so I pulled it off. Could it be from the maintenance cartridge? Not sure but it seems to be printing fine now! I ran the printhead alignment, and so far so good!

Oh...that would make sense. I just changed a print head.

Geez...looks like I'm my own worst enemy this week!

Yikes, i didnt think those little rubber parts could separate from caps. Good to know!
