Does anybody know if the 1628 take the same head as the 1618? i found a good price on a 1618 printhead and if it is the same head for the 1628 ill buy it.

They are both DX7 print heads so it should work. Can't 100% guarantee though as Epson and Mutoh have been tricky in the past when it comes to heads that should be the same but are slightly altered to throw a wrench in things.
The printheads may look similar but are not exactly the same
