Printing a palette?

I have a dye sub printer and to match colors, they suggest using the TruMatch palette. That's all well and good, but when you don't have a chart, it's hard to match colors, other than on screen, and in many cases, I'm given a physical sample, so it would be nice to have a palette that's printed, like the pantone one's I've seen, however, in TruMatch.

Corel has the tool to built a palette you can print, but I want to print this from Illustrator, so I know it's all matching. I don't want to print the palette from Corel and then use Illustrator to deal with it all (especially since Corel and Illy seem to print different colors for the same file).

Is there any way to print a palette? Maybe a plug in or something?

Thanks-
Steve

Hi Pat, here's how in Corel :

1) Setup your page size for what you want it to print on.

2) Go to Tools

3) Visual Basic

4) Play

5) Select "All Standard Projects"

6) Select CorelMacros.CreateColorSwatch

7) Run

8) Pick the Palette you want

9) Click the "Printer" box and then you can enter info into that textbox that has all your media/settings info, so it'll print on the swatches for future reference.

10) OK

11) Done

Hope that helps (and hope I typed it right).
