After years of doing it the hard way, my right hand man suggested we stick it to a sheet of steel and run it through like that. So, I went to a local HVAC place and had them cut me a 48x48 sheet of ducting steel.
It works perfectly.
The only hard part is aligning it on the sheet since it wants to stick to it. I roll the sheet of magnetic up, magnet out, and place the corner and edge flush with the steel sheet. Then it is lined up and square(assuming you cut the sheet square).
I highly recommend this method.
The owner saw it and was highly impressed, but that isn't saying much. He is amazed by simple stuff and oblivious to the crazy stuff.
