Printing on Encore EFX21 brushed silver

I have been making labels on my Epson SC80600 for about a year and I knew that eventually a client would ask for metallic style labels. I know about RTape EFX and it being printable but a 48" x 10 yard roll is $325.00 a roll which significantly drives the cost of the label up. I have read that some will print on a clear vinyl laminate and then apply to top of metallics but that definitely takes more in labor. I found Encore EFX that says it is eco solvent printable and a descent price but only 24" wide so the RTape would be best because it is wider and suits my printer better. Before I purchase this I just want to know if anyone has found something cheaper or is this the go to when it comes to printing on metallics, I am trying to stay away from lamination but if needed I will. I did just find the RTape decorative series at JDS Industries which I can't find anywhere else but considerably cheaper $153 for a 48" x 10yrd roll, $572 for 50yrds. Wonder why nobody sells this series it's much cheaper especially for someone that is making labels and not something for a vehicle. Stumbled on an old YT video that mentioned it and that's how I found it.
