Printing on Translucent

Hello,

I am having a problem when I print on Arlon translucent on our Mimaki printer. Im getting some banding that line up to where the rollers that feed the material are. In the past, we have recieved the Arlon DPF 6500 translucent vinyl in matte, but recently they have changed it to a gloss finish. Before I would not get the banding on the matte, but I am getting it on the gloss. I was just wondering if anyone knew a way to stop it from doing it.

Thanks!

In my experience, gloss finishes tend to highlight defects that may not be as evident on matte surfaces. There is probably banding on the matte prints as well; they just aren't as visible.
Have you tried dropping your ink levels and increasing your pre + print temps a little?

Good Luck!
