Problem: Media loads unevenly - Help!

Hi all, I have a Roland Sp540-v, and I have a problem with my medias that runs unevenly. On the left side it seems to roll normally, but on the right side (near the controlpanel) it seems to roll slower than the other side. I have had this printer for 5-6 years and hasnt had this problem before. I have tried to turn off the heat, I have changed the rubber-wheels on the pinch-rollers, and now I am out of ideas! Does enyone of you have an answer to this? I tried to put all the pinch-rollers in, and that seemed to help, but I dont think that is the solution in the long run, because there wil be traces of the whells in the print. The wheel have two edges high and low edge the high edge when set wheel in right printer side must be out to the right when set in left printer side must be the high edge out to the left.

Check the fan that work good open the front cover and blow the fan mybe there is paper jam, then check versawork setting (Job Settings>Printer Controls> Other Controls> Vacuum Power) set strong then test loading material. You must keep the wheel clean and the cylinder where it run on it .

Hi Techsign. I've checked the rubberwheels and they are correctly mounted. And the metal-rollers are clean. I've checked the fan and tried printing with full vacuum and without vacuum, and no difference. I really dont understand how its possible as the metal-rolls are mounted on a square metal rod! I am beginning to suspect that it is a media-issue. Its 150my block-out vinyl.

Mybe you have HUMIDITY effected, material be more wet and heavy to load when running be more wrinkling and have more friction when touching the machine body, bad printing room condtion or bad storing from dealer ,it's different from kind to another kind of material .

- try other roll or kind if you used calenderd vinyl try cast it's little thickness and static .
- grounded machine to aviod static.
- sure that material from roll to output set in straight line not slope line . Before printing run the material by cursor backward and forward see it's running good or no .
- set vacuum power strong.
- when cutting slow speed cutting ,when printing if you have no problem print in more high resolution printing or increase scan interval period to slow printing
speed mybe this work until find the main problem.

and again printer have two fan must be cleaned by blower or air compressor from dust or paper it's make difference .

Do you use media clamps? Sometimes these get all gummed up underneath and sticks to the material. If you use them, try to take them out and clean.
