Problems when copying within file

I am having an annoying problem with Signlab 7.1:
When I copy (control +) or move, it wants to stall and not want to move the new copy. Almost physically have to struggle with it.
It leaves kind of a temporary marquee where the old (in case of move) graphic was.
Before it was working just fine, no idea what can be causing this.

Any ideas?

Thanks jhillsdesign for the input. I would not be surprised that it needs a new card. Actually, probably need to change that whole PC.

Somehow, today it seemed to be back to working normally, (after a couple of restarts for other "issues") so very happy with that.

Have you tried alt+drag to copy or are you trying to go to another program?
