Rebuilt 1204

Hi guys I just finished rebuilding my 1204
I put a new maintenance station on new dampers and brand new print head it’s printing near perfect
I did a nozzle check and I am puzzled because they are all 100% except I am only getting one black
Does anybody know what could be the issue why I am only getting one black nozzle check at 100%
Other then that I can’t be happier!

Are there any air bubbles in the ink line that's not printing? You might want to pull the damper off that's on the channel that's not printing and make sure that the post that goes up into the damper is not broken. Have you done "Little Charges" to get the ink lines and dampers full?

Yes I did a little charge and also pulled ink from waste station
They are all printing 100% except the one

I’m Leary of pulling everything apart again on the damper holder etc
I hate to chance screwing something up

I may try pulling from the top of that particular line above the damper today

Also off this topic but I got some cleaner on my pitch rollers and I’m getting tracks down the vinyl from it
Any tips to get that to stop besides new rollers?

So my prints are looking very grainy and almost have a shadow effect in a pink kind of color
Text is very hard to read
I’ve tried printing in a few different modes
Could it be an issue with the new head?

what material are you printing on?

Intermediate white
I’ve been using it for years and with the old print head I had nice crisp prints

Are there any alignments etc you need to go through after fitting a new head? Not familiar with that machine but when we got a new head on our mimaki we had to go through a few tests.

try printing uni directional and seeing if that makes them look any better.

I notice a thin band of red before black for some reason also

I’m being told by the guy I bought the head that it’s not aligned properly
I attached a couple images of the nozzle check
Can someone confirm from the pics that’s the issue? Is there Any links on how to set this head correctly ? He also said I need to enter in the new head rank

If you try printing uni directional instead of by, you’ll be able to tell right away if it’s an alignment issue

If you look at this print, the red you see is not supposed to be there
Anyone know what that is ??

Did you calibrate the print head? It looks like the head is way out of calibration.
