Agree! It's fun to read these old posts. The OP is still active! If I'm not mistaken he's looking to buy a laminator???

I stayed busy up until the election, I still had work but I wasn't scheduled out like I had been since Covid. It's REALLY been picking up again the last two weeks. I think people realize the world isn't going to come to a crashing halt and it's "business as usual" again.

In order to slow inflation you have to slow demand. That doesn't mean recession or the sky is falling. Gas prices are high, it's not like this is a first either. People are paying it and habits haven't changed. After watching how so many people blew all of their money over the past years rather than sock it away makes it real hard for me to care or listen to a bunch of whining.
What do you mean, "gas prices are high"? our wonderful president tells us gas prices are $1.95 in some states, it must be true if our president says so. I say the easiest solution is to move to that state. You just have to find out which one.

Don’t know how much gas is in your state but hot air seems to be cheap.

I have a small young sign shop. With the downturn in the stock market, supply chain issues, inflation, etc.. How badly is the sign industry effected? Any advice on what clients to focus on and how to survive?
RECESSION? Bah...I haven't seen any major price increase, I just purchased a case of foamboard $8 less than I paid in March of this year. A $3.75 increase in a case of coroplast. As far as stocks...NOPE, all are doing fine. What years are you looking at for the stocks?

Both my 401K and my Robinhood stocks went down for a bit earlier this year but they are right back up where they were before. I don't pay a lot of attention but mine came back up so I'm assuming others did too?

keep in mind that when he said that, it was three years ago and there was a different president.
