Registration marks not recognized when doing print/lam/cut

I have a Roland VersaCamm VS-300 and using VersaWorks. I do a lot of laminated decals. When doing print / lamination / cutting, if I laminate over the registration marks the printer can not find them. I have been trimming the lamination so it doesn't cover the registration marks and it works perfect every time. Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks

Danny

I've heard that scotch tape works well, but I've yet to try it myself. I usually just turn off the lights on the side of the room where our Graphtec is. It works for me, and I assume it's because there's less light reflection to disrupt the sensor.

There is a Crop Sense Test in the Service Mode, with the possibility to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor by turning a potentiometer on the head carriage.

But this will lead to a small improvement only, if any. If doing this job regularly, I would suggest to buy an additional cutter with a more sophisticated System. Rolands Quadralign-System haven't any big improvements since around 15 years, systems like Summas OPOS are totally different in speed and reliability.
