Hello. We're new to using a CJV150 (RasterLink 6). We're having trouble finding a way to automatically rewind the material to a fixed origin between prints. We're looking to send a multi-copy job to the printer with the following action sequence: copy 1 prints, copy 1 is cut off roll, rewind to origin, copy 2 prints, copy 2 is cut off roll, rewind to origin... We can generally get this to work but without the rewind actions. After the first copy is cut, there is a relatively large leading edge of material being wasted on the second and subsequent copies.
We have an Epson 9890 which handles this perfectly without any real setup necessary. We have it set to auto cut and after each print it cuts and rewinds the media back to an ideal starting position leaving virtually no waste along the leading edge for the next print.
Note: the cutting is via the cut off function, not the contour cutter. We're simply looking for a way to sheet a multi-copy job without a lot of waste.
