Rockhopper 2 strange issue

Hi All

I have a RH2 that has been working great for the last few years.

Recently it has developed a fault with the magenta. It prints the first line of the test print perfectly which tells me there is no blocked nozzles, but the second line with the solid patters, starts bad (almost all missing) and gets progressively better down the line (fully filled in).
I checked for split hoses and also replaced the damper and manually cleaned the head and sucked a whole load of ink thru the head with a syringe but it does not get better. Also checked the ribbon.

Is it some kind of electrical problem on the head??

Any help would be greatly appreciated
