Curiously, did anyone elses RolandBN20A and Versaworks randomly stop working together within the last few days? I'm unsure if a new update came out that I missed.

My BN20A and Versaworks have worked fairly flawlessly over the last year. However, I started them both up today and Versaworks is telling me the printer is not connected, despite moving the spring lever forward.

I can still control the printer via BN20 Utility app and also see my ink levels.

Things I have done:

Shut both down and restarted together. No changes.
Deep cleaned and emptied waste bin. No changes.
Tried a different printer to USB cord. No changes.
Factory Reset BN20A. No changes.

My VersaWorks version is 6.19.2 and my Firmware Version is 3.10.

Anyone have any ideas?
Mine did the same thing. I was unable to fix it with uninstall and reinstall. I did get it to see my printer after deleting the APP data files and restarting many times before reinstalling. Now my adobe illustrator cant print illustration to that printer so i have to save as PDF and drag and drop into versa works. maybe there is a driver error windows 11

Everyone should know that the link contains malware and has always contained malware, it gets re-uploaded to a new file share website and continues to spread the malware. You can use virus total to check for yourself.

My bn-20 is currently using white ink, but I don't use it and I'm wanting to switch it over to magenta. Has anyone has any experience doing this? I read on an old forum that you'd have to get some to come out and reprogram it for the magenta. If that's the case then I'll just deal with the white ink. Looking for some advice. my email is

Just look up the service code and swap it that way. Also, posting your email address on a searchable forum is an incredible way to get buttloads of spam.

Just joined forums under 30 minutes ago and already asking for things at the tail-end of the day right before xmas eve. Buy a guy a drink or at least say a friendly 'hello' first?

Best bet is to contact your Roland dealer for a legit copy. Even then, most things you need to adjust will be in service mode, no program needed. Lots of dodgy ransomware and malware around, some of which will actually do malicious things to the printer itself in some cases.

It does seem to be online anymore. But I am sure I have it downloaded somewhere.
I use it all the time.
Could I get a copy of this please? I have tried a copy I found online and the patch from wayback machine but it doesnt seem to work.
