On starting up my Roland Cam1 GX 24, by pressing blue button, the machine freezes with GX-24 Roland Corp. on the screen, it doesnt progress from there, never happened before, any ideas?

You may have tried this already, but simply unplug the cutter's USB cable and AC cord (from the wall). Leave the AC cord unplugged, for a minimum of 30 seconds, plugin the AC cord only (leaving the USB disconnected) and try using the machine again.
If it works, plug in the USB cord and continue using the cutter.
