Roland Camm-1 Pro GX-500 Motor 02 error code

I recently picked up a Roland Camm-1 Pro GX-500 in great condition. It sat for 2 years not being used before I picked it up. When we plugged it in to try it it came up with Motor Error 02 code right away. Original owner said it worked perfect when they stopped using it. When I unplug the Y- Axis motor and turn on the machine again the error code is gone and will now move the cutter head to register the media width.. I replaced the Y-axis motor and still comes up with the Motor Error 02 code.. Any ideas on what is going on?

The motor was ok most of the time I have had this error. Corroded wiring on mainboard was the last one I can remember. I still have a GX24 somewhere with Motor error, did not have time to look at it yet.

Since both the scan and feed motor are the same you can swap the connectors and see where your problem is. It is most likely the main board which is unavailable. You might be able to find another used one. I do have a customer that has a GX 640 for sale that only has about two hours on it. Let me know, it is in Missouri if you are from Minnesota.
