Roland Pnc1100 Sheet Size Menu?

I have had the machine several years just for personal use..no hiccups. Sat dormant for the last year or so..just pulled it out to use it..when I drop the pinch wheels I believe the menu used to change and say roll or piece? I when I drop them now it does not..stays at cmnd i/o rotate

Any ideas? There appears to be a micro s switch that contacts when lever is down.tried cleaning that wiggling it etc. No change
