Roland SC-540 started skewing the image during printing. The right margin of the print drifted to the left, so that after a few panels printed they were skewed toward the left of the media.
So far I've replaced the encoder scale/strip, the scan motor, the linear encoder sensor, and adjusted the carriage wire tension and performed every possible calibration listed in the 540 service manual.
Now I'm seeing "ghosting" (for lack of a better term) causing a slight "drop shadow" effect where there should be a crisp edge. I've added yellow stars on a photo a sample to show what I'm talking about.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
