If you are using versaworks, there are options for perf pressure and perf length, its hard to tell by the image if the burred edges are from just a bad cut or the perf length being too short. Check your cutter protection strip as well, if it's looking like the grand canyon that isnt going to help your situation.

If it's old enough, the blade holder itself gets stiff and doesn't rotate like it used to, and can cause bad cuts as well, usually around corners and curves though.

As said blade holder may be a bit stiff
We do a fair amount of contour cutting as shown but cut twice one to just cut the vinyl as normal . second a perf cut to cut the backing sheet

the blade holder is rotating ? I didnt know that. I have a new cutting strip, new blade. I'm gonna buy a new blade holder since there nothing else that I know of I could check.

Our tech suggested changing from the factory supplied 45 degree angle blade
to a 60 degree blade. Promised the cut would be far more crisp.

So far this is our experience

I changed the cutting stripe I noticed it was very old. I also have new 60 degrees blade and I did a cutcontour then Perfcut. It gave me better result but still its not as crisp as my small Graphtec vinyl cutter
