Roland sc5454ex (frigga frack riggum racka)

We have a Roland SC-545EX Soljet Pro IIV…

We are getting a set of thin faint lines in one area of our prints CONSISTENTLY
(after we cleaned the heads both manually and through the machine itself).

Is there any general ideas what causes this? Should we do a power cleaning?

*Also our printer carriage is disconnecting randomly in the middle of printing.
Please let us know your thoughts.

Thanks!

Pic might help in regard to the fine lines. Carriage disconnects could be a number of things. Have you had issues when setting up the media it reading 0"? Any service call errors? Scan motor errors? Other notable errors?

Huh... it just disconnects mid print? Or you mean during a cleaning cycle or between jobs? I would think it's something physical, as opposed to a bad setting or sensor. Did you have some kind of head crash recently?

When you have this kind of problems it's worth having a look at the nozzle test.

About the problem with your print carriage, if it disconnects during printing the bearings of the print carriage may be dusted. While you have the problem you should move the carriage manually to see if it can move freely without friction on the rail.
