ROLAND SG VS HP LATEX WHICH SHOULD I BUY?

I currently operate two Roland SG2 printers, both approaching five years of service. As the print heads are beginning to fail, replacement costs appear uneconomical, prompting me to explore alternative solutions. I am considering HP Latex printers as a potential replacement and would appreciate insights on their performance compared to Roland Eco-Solvent printers, specifically for our niche of small print-laminate-cut sticker production.
Key considerations for our workflow include print quality, color vibrancy, durability, and compatibility with integrated print-and-cut processes. Additionally, factors such as ink curing times, maintenance requirements, and overall cost of ownership are critical. Has anyone transitioned from Roland Eco-Solvent to HP Latex for similar applications?

Any feedback or experiences would be greatly valued as we make this investment decision. Thank you!

Ah okay. Then as long as you send in some files to your reseller and approve the samples I think you would like it.
It's really the only major thing, small details and quality is not 1:1 with solvent. But still acceptable in my opinion.

And Im only talking about the new gen 630 730 830.

Welcome! this dilemma has been brought up quite a few times before, you might find other discussions here helpful.... if you search.
That said, you're going to see people that love brand X and hate brand Y, but there are SO many variations on what people print and how their shop operates that it may not be helpful.
I ran a Roland SP-300 and then VS-540 for about 10 years, then as you say, it started to be troublesome and maintenance expensive. We went to an HP365 Latex to print traffic signage, and just recently an Epson SG40600 solvent. The incompatibility of FlexiSign and the other software RIPs etc. is another story! :(
Message me if you want to have a discussion offline! I'm not biased but will relate the ugly truths!
