Roland SG300 keeps saying "end of sheet" and stops printing.

I've tried making the sheet length hundreds of feet long, drape the media off the roll so there's no tension, but it keeps wasting time and prints. Any solutions come to mind?

Yes, the sensor is right below the hole in that rear shiny cover. It either has a yellow or white connector on it. When you go to put the shiny metal piece back, you have to be very careful putting it back in and make sure it is pushed all the way in. You should take a look at the front of that printer from the front side of that shiny metal plate. There’s little tabs that have to go in a particular spot.

I'm a bit late on this one but as a quick, easy, temporary fix you can cover the sensor with a piece of vinyl. Just bare in mind that then the printer won't know when it runs out of media

I have just removed the lint that builds up from paper baking and normal earth existence. It gets trapped under the metal frame of the sensor. Maybe you checked that but it usually gets missed, simple first is my mode.
