Roland Soljet Pro 3 (Unknown Spring)

Hello,

I came across attached spring on a media/paper. The printer was performing a media/paper
detection width and the aluminium part of clamps obstructed the printhead. I have no idea where it came
from and where it should be. The printer still prints but I'm concerned it may affect the printer sometime
Please your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
J

It's this and you should change your wipers mate, the right one is not looking good or is not properly positioned.

I can't find any spring attachment in that area. I came across this post...https://www.signs101.com/threads/roland-not-cutting-blade-not-lowering.123326/. Could this be the case as I tried to cut and the cutter was not low enough to cut the contours. Thanks for your advise regarding the wipers.

Problem solved thanks to a great tech guy! It was the spring behind the dark plate attached to the cutting carriage.
