Roland SP-540V issues

I am getting a pinchroll error message when loading my media. It has done it a few times before, but I was able to correct it by turning the machine off. Now nothing I do is working to resolve the issue. Could it be a sensor of some sort? Thank you in advance for any help.

You need to replace the flatcable from the mainboard to the tool carriage. This is a very common issue.

There is a common issue with e SP series where it gives pinch roller errors, and/or reads 0.0". Usually it's a bad tool carriage cable. We have them available here if you need one!

As other have said...it's (probably) that cable. Been there once or maybe twice in the last 12 years with my SP.
