Roland SP300 Printhead out?

Having some issues with printing "ghost" images. Prints are coming out fuzzy - double/triple images off to right. Performed a THOROUGH manual cleaning of printheads, replace wipers, cleaned out guts completely.

Only thing that will fix the problem is a Powerful Clean from the menu. First Powerful Clean yields slightly better results - second Powerful Clean fixes the problem throughout the day.

Next morning, back at ground zero.

Anyone have some thoughts on what the problem might be? We're concerned that it might need a new printhead or pump.

Thanks in advance.

No! We have not done that. Checking into changing the capping stations now. Thanks!

Hopefully that'll do the trick.

Clean the encoder.

Change the cap tops.

When was the last time you changed your pump? Take the cover off that area and make sure that an old pump isn't busted, leaking ink all over the machine.

Thanks everyone -

We've cleaned the encoder strip. We have cap tops on order. Maybe we'll get a new pump on the way today too.

We've noticed that once we get it going well, we can print continuously just fine. As soon as it sits for more than 15 minutes, it's back to the ghost images.
