Roland SP300V printing heads issue

I'm looking to buy an used SP300v which sat for a few months.
The lady said that it was plugged in but that it was not used for a few months and that the head(s) is clogged.

Would I be able to change the heads myself or I should get Roland tech here to do that for me? Is there anything else that could go wrong? I mean the major stuff, dampers, wipers and stuff like that I would change anyhow.

I do not do much of printing, but a few orders I had to outsource and I will need to print a lot of garments transfers this fall. This printer would be a great addition for me.

Thank in advance for any pointers and help.:thankyou:

if you had never replace a head before is best to get a tech to do it for you,
besides the heads you will need a new capping station, ink lines, wipers and may be new pump

I just got a pic from the seller.
Comments? Could cyan/black head be saved?

.....and where's the magenta and yellow, I wonder?

That printer has two heads, CK and MY.
MY is dead, I was wandering if CK could be saved or that needs replacing too.
I do not know if you can determine that with that picture.

I would plan on replacing both heads and the dampers (4), wipers (2), wiper scraper, mist sponge, sponge under wipers, cap tops (2). I think she pans on moving it next week and will probably not have it plugged in anymore - will only get worse with time.

Thinking about this overnight - I have never seen a clogged head cause 0 nozzles to fire - much less on 2 banks. that leads me to believe it is not just a clogged head. head fuse or head cables (it has 1 for each color) so I am thinking board maybe. just brainstorming here

NOT a headache if the price is RIGHT.

As long as you can get the printer for a good price, you could have a Roland tech give it a complete work-over making it function like new!

Also the test print doesn't mean anything unless the printer has been properly cleaned and the cap tops and wipers replaced before. If the machine was kept filled with genuine ink there's a good chance you can recover most of the nozzles. There's no way to tell you if the heads are good or not.

The printer was sold but not to me :)

I just did not want the headache and two heads would put me out of my price range.
