Roland SP540i

Hi Folks, thinking about purchasing our second printer, We currently have a SP540 that is 6 years old. I am wondering what you guys think of the SP540i any pros or cons. How is the print quality, speed, cut contour accuracy etc.. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Why dont you check out the new Roland RE-640 and buy a separate cutter. SP540i is the old technology.

The sp 540 and 540 i are real workhorses.Way to go.

And you get only 40-50 sqf an hour in Standard mode, go High Quality and you can't even get 20 sqf an hour.
It is a workhorse but very very slow.

I have a 1.5 yr old SP540i. It's my first printer so I don't have anything to compare it to, but it's a good fit if you're not a high-production shop. They claimed it is faster than previous SP models.
