Good morning to the team, I'm a new member. I'm facing a problem with my machine
roland Truevis sg2-640 and I would like your help.
first it started printing the crop marks in print and cut and then when the normal printing started it made a crack and stopped there and gave me scan motor error 0020 0020. I cleaned the rail and applied white lithium grease.
Then again I tried to print from the beginning, this time when they were printing the crop marks, when the head went to the right, that is, on its return, it was shaking, when it came time to print, it worked normally. I try to show you this in the video as well but it doesn't look very clear.
can you help me somehow?

Could be a faulty scan motor, but as it's a new machine, I'd think it should be okay. I guess you could try. Maybe see if your technician has a used one that works he could try first, just to confirm, then spend that extra money if it proves to be the cause.

Most of the time, you can repair these motors.
These are brushless and should run for 3000-5000h when I remember correctly.
I repaired a couple of them by cleaning the internal encoder disc with Windex. (There is sort of a haze on it. Probably by a outgassing part on the PCB. Once cleaned, they run forever since...)
I posted a image of it in another thread. Search for VG motor.
