Roland Versacamm sp 540v connect directly to computer

Hello,

I have been using roland versacamm through a router for years and wasnt having any issues. Recently though its been disconnecting in the middle of prints. I would like to connect directly to the computer with a patch cable but I can't find instructions anywhere on how to do this. Can someone please post instructions on how I can accomplish this.
