ROLAND VG2/VG3 + CALDERA / ONYX

I'm about to get a VG2 with green/orange but i know he bandings problems on these printers , i used to have an old sp300 having the same problems but working with versaworks at the time.
Now i use ONYX with my 80600 and understand that the rip can push harder into the setups like the amount of ink used in passes.

Does anyone use a vg2/vg3 with onyx and calerda RIP and get away with theses banding problems?
