Roller Blind Material

Hey Guys,

Had a customer inquire about having their business logo printed on a Roller Blind to cover the inside of an office. I've seen this done before but not sure what material was used.
I'm assuming the roller blind would be a block out type similar to the one I have in my bathroom and flexible enough to retract.

Was thinking this was done using sublimation inks, but would be beneficial with eco-sol.

Do any of you have experience with this before? Would appreciate any feedback such as material type, inks used, tips and tricks....

Was also thinking of using a fabric type polyester/pvc (canvas type) material and use a lightly coat of liquid lam to seal and roll this up. But unsure if this may crack...

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I did this for a ticket booth - They wanted to be able to see thru them so I printed on mesh banner - Unfortunately to much light came through to the face of the mesh banner and you almost couldn't even tell it was there - It worked perfect when the sun wasn't shining right on it though -

They also had a weird setup - No walls to mount anything just railings so I purchased these shades just for the roll up mechanism and mounted them to some screws that held the rails together - they are junk you can pull them down just fine but they don't roll up very well.

SignWorld has the hardware and suggestions on material. I used Backlit because I did want light to come through. It works pretty well, but wants to curl at the edges.

Thanks for posting this. I'd like to offer these to our clients.

Just did a quick search for "Roller Shade Hardware" and came up with these two links...

http://www.sailrite.com/Roller-Shade-Clutch-Kit-72-Long#

Sailrite recommends using this fabric with it... http://www.sailrite.com/Phifertex-Mesh-White-000-54#description
Interesting enough, it comes in 54" rolls, but it looks expensive.

If you have a UV printer, I would think you could print to it, but not sure if latex/solvent would work.

Just seen the Roller Shade Clutch Kit 72" Long and I have the exact same kit in use in my bathroom. Its a 59" (150cm) and cost me $15 AUD after Xmas sales. I'm planinng on pulling this down to try out.

I've contacted a few suppliers here and waiting to hear back from a few. May even consider using a mesh type banner or textured canvas (100% blockout).
