I have a problem that I have tracked down to 1 of two areas. Through the process of elimination, I have determined that it is definitely not a problem with the printer.
1 - Either my RIP is having a problem and writing a grainy strip into my RTL file.
2 - Or my print controller is introducing the problem when it converts the RTL to the IPF format it uses to print
I would like to take a look at the rtl file to determine in which of these two areas the problem occurs. Does anyone know of a good RTL Viewer that can handle very large files? This problem only occurs when the rtl is over 2 gb in size. A google search reveals quite a few but I don't want to waste time evaluating shareware. There is an image attached in case anyone is interested. Also, I am using an Inca Spyder 320 and Colorgate if anyone has more info on this.
