SAGA Cutter

I just go this new Chinese SAGA cutter: SAGA-1800IIP model. Turns out it comes with this (on my opinion) really bad software called cutartist, made by IFENTA . The only way it seems to work is by creating a file from the illustrator plugin (which also comes with), opening it in cutartist and sending it to cut.

Heres my question, can you please recommend a good cutter software for my cutter? I tried looking into sign master but there is no way to purchase it, vinylmaster has a demo which I downloaded but even though it has the "drivers" for my cutter, it couldn't communicate with it at the end and wasn't able to cut.

Also, does anyone have experience with Dragon Cut? Thing is, I don't want to purchase a software only to realized it's not compatible at the end...

DragonCut SignMaster and VinylMaster are the same things. You might not find your cutter name in the list, but any of them can work. Can try EasyCutStudio for free.

DragonCut and SignMaster are designed for OEMs. VinylMaster is suitable with general users. Did you install SAGA communication driver correctly?

thanks, no. It didn't come with a driver, just looked into the USB drive that came with it. However the cutartist software that it came with actually recognizes it and I'm able to cut.

thanks i downloaded vinyl master demo but it didn't even do the test cut, i wrote to vinyl master support and they told me that cutting is disabled in the demo version, so I guess I will have to pay in order to test.

it costs like nothing to buy it, like $60 one time purchase? I use flexi to design and send my cut files though vinyl express since Flexi is $400 extra per PC per year just to do the cutting.

Yah, when I bought it a few years ago I remember it being around $60

quick update, after purchase, vynil master didn't work for my cutter. I wrote to see if they could add it. Waiting for reply.

SAGA is the same as Titan... use the drivers for it.
