That was crazy... I live about 15 miles away as the crow flies.
I had started to make dinner about the time the fire started. I looked out the window to see what kind of sunset was on for the evening ...and saw the spewing fire ball from my house.
To find out what was going on, I flipped on the TV as news helicopters were just arriving on scene. There were a number of homes burnt to the ground within 20 minutes of the start of the blaze. The only thing that one could identify as a structure was a chimney. I was just dumbfounded by the ferocity and speed of the blaze.
It's very sad.
