Hello All!

We just got an HP Scitex XL1500, the 16-foot wide model. We are making headway in getting profiles and colors working. Just wanted to start this new thread to draw some tips and tricks. I know it's an older machine, but it's still roaring away! Post here if your shop is still running this machine.

SCITEX XL1500 -double sided/backlit technique

Hello All,

We had a recent job which called for a backlit print.
As you might know, the SCITEX XL1500 leaves MUCH to be desired
in this area. Very complex and time consuming, with low success rate.

We worked out an ONYX fix.
Raise the saturation to 200% in the
COLOR CORRECTION -> TOOLS -> COLOR/GRAY LEVELS.
Print looks awesome on the front, and doesn't wash out when back lit.
No need to reverse the roll or spend time printing twice.
