Settings to get smooth gradients

What settings are you guys using to print smooth gradients? When I print gradings, I’m getting to much of a dot pattern.

The size of the dot is controlled by the LPI setting for the halftone used. The higher the LPI, the smaller the dots. The smaller the dots, the more will be the tendency to show the gradient bands. I usually use an LPI of 53 with Classic halftone selected which is a compromise setting.

The edge will not do gradient blends well...period. Fred Weiss' suggestion is probably the best you're going to get. For images, I do a 75LPI with "classical dot" setting.
