Shopping for a new laminator - Recommendations?

We've had a Royal Sovereign 65" cold laminator for several years now and will need to replace it. Any recommendations would be great!

Get another same model RS unless you need something specific that they don't offer. That way you're able to cannibalize the old one as necessary.

The kala mistrial is a great laminator, with it you don't need a second laminator for spare parts.

Those of you who have heat assist, is it worth the money?

Yes, it does help to have heat assist. I recommend the GFP563th.

We have the RSC-6500H with heat assist and it is the best laminator I have owned in the past 25 years.
Heat assist is a HUGE benefit!!

Seal has terrible service when needed

I have a RSC 6500H it is fast. BUT
No temp adjustment
NO Slitter option..........This sucks more than you want to know

Pain in the arse to load unload.
One Man Load not advised, you can do it but it just BLOWS.

Outfeed area is very tight,,,,,Too Tight
Crown Rollers,,,these are great, you better know you 'ish to adjust
Buyer Regret? Yeah I kick my self daily.

Get a GFP with heat assist . Get Slitter option and Rear take up Option!

Our newest workhorse is going on 3 years old - a 65" GFP (hot/cold) laminator it runs like a dream. We have a cold 65" Royal Sovereign that we retired to light duty after 7 years, and an old 23 year old Ledco 30" that is still running . We use all of them throughout the day.

the GFP is awesome, get the media guides too for the lam roll, material feed roll, and the take up reel, keeps everybody tracking straight, less wandering and sticky lam to trim after
