Shot count please help ??

I printed a full colour banner today 8ft x 2ft and did a shot count before and after, the banner added 11000 shots across the heads.

Have I got this right if each head had shots distributed equally, they should last around (6000000000) at that estimate my heads should last 2181818 banners at the same shot count.

If a shot is equal to 1 dot of ink, then you printed that banner at 4.77 DPI. Either I am wrong about what a shot is, or something is off about your math.

Probably I don't have the slightest clue as to what Roland means by "shot".
