Sign Finishing

I've printed and laminated a sign that is 4x6'10". I only have a 30 inch printer, so I layered the sign in 2 pieces. Is there any clear coat that you would recommend to seal the ends of the vinyl, especially where they overlap?

I'm not sure on this but maybe a strip of laminate would work. I know many do this on edges of perf and it helps lifting from happeneing
