The NBM shows are smaller than the ISA and SGIA shows but still worth a visit.

I have been to most of the Charlotte NBM shows in the last several years. I enjoy them. I like seeing my vendors face-to-face, I like seeing new technologies first-hand, and when I have the time, a class or two.
As of the end of February (last numbers that I could access), ISA Sign Expo is on track to be the 2nd largest Expo in our history, easily the biggest since the economy turned in late 2008. As of 2.5 weeks ago, we were at over 1,900 booths and 539 exhibiting companies. Compared to 2009 and 2010's final totals, the year-to-date numbers are way up (26% booths/29% companies over 2010 in Orlando, which tends to be a little smaller than Vegas; 19% booths/16% companies over 2009 in Vegas). And we usually see growth in exhibitor numbers over the last month.
Every other Expo number is tracking higher than last year by at least 10+% (some by much more than 10%): attendee preregistration, housing rooms booked, education seats sold, sponsorship.)

Kenny, any chance ISA will come to the east coast or will it always be a Vegas show?
Seems no one wants to do much on the east coast. There are a lot of us here, ya know?
ISA goes back and forth. I have been to many Orlando ISA shows.

Vegas is great, but we need some killer shows around here. Sign World was horrible last year. So bad for me I think it's officially scratched off the list for this year. Looking to find a new show without having to fly 3000 miles to get to it.

Just last week, the Northeast States Sign Association (ISA's regional affiliate in New England) held a smaller sign show (~50 booths) in Sturbridge, MA. I believe thay are planning on bringing a similar show to Baltimore next year.
