Sign World Grommet Machine

Good afternoon

We have a automatic grommet machine from Sign World and for some reason it wont seat the female end to the male end. This machine worked last week but today it wont ( our building has a gremlin). It seems like the dies are coming together enough but I don't see where to adjust the travel height. Anyone have any suggestions?

Raise the bolt on the bottom blow the die. this sets the height of the bottom component to make sure you get a tight crimp. Don't be afraid to reach out to Sign World. They have life time support and great customer service.

Mbasch is correct. The unit is made in Taiwan but ours has a 9/16 locknut on the adjustment bolt.

Look for a bolt on the bottom below the die. Loosen the locknut and raise that bolt slightly. That adjusts the travel height and controls how tight the crimp is. If you still cannot find it, call Sign World directly. They have lifetime support and actually answer the phone.

Any thoughts on it smashing the male side of the grommet. The bolt was definitely loose so i tightened it up. I will also reach out to sign world. Thanks

Coroplast is very hard to do grommets on without crushing. Note that Grommets come in different male lengths! you may need a longer male grommet so it will grab without crushing. The standard grommet may be short for vinyl and aluminum signs which are very thin!!!!!
