The following are pics of a simple halo lit wall sign. Will be covered with colored vinyl and the 1/4" thick pvc wine bottle and lettering.
pic1) roughly a 46"x 48" 1/2" pvc. Routered 3/4"w x .300" d channel for the LEDs, and roughly 1/2"w x 1/4" d channel for the 3-1/2" strips of pvc. Used pvc glue on the 3-1/2" and set them in the channel. Measured out the LEDs for the other channel and set them in place.
pic2) Cut pieces to reinforce the upper corners. Pvc glued into place
pic 3) Stuck LEDs into place and wired
pic 4) Cut a 1/8" piece of white face acrylic that goes to the edge of the sign to cover the LEDs and their channel and to soften the light a little. Used rivets to secure to the back of sign
Pic 5) the 1/4" white pvc logo and letters that will be put on after the viynl is installed
pic 6) may be hard to see, but the sign hang on my wall, lit. Nice to power the whole thing off a small plug-in transformer.
So simple! It probably shows, but also my first!
