Small format UV flatbed: Mimaki and Roland

We have the Mimaki UJF 3042. Love the print quality and the different medias you can print on. We mostly print on Acrylic, Styrene, Metal, and Aluminum. The limitation of the thickness of medias (2") is a little frustrating. Also the the number of specific profiles that mimaki has for the machine is limited. Another problem that we have been trying to fix is when you print white behind a color image, the white is not completely trapped and shows a little bit on the edges of images. But that all said being able to print color on Executive Awards and name badges has been a great up grade for us.

Thanks for that, it sounds interesting. Yes, being able to couple this with laser etching would be a huge plus for sure.
Have you been able to try it on Stainless Steel at all? Any issues with adhesion?
