There are two distinct considerations:
1. Is the media (posterboard) able to be moved physically through the printer's paper path without causing headstrikes or other issues with media transport?
2. In the case of eco-solvent inks, does this media contain a coating for the inks that you are using (is this a media made specifically for solvent ink)?
If the answer to both of these is not a definitive yes, then your answer is no.

Solvent inks tend to not work well with coated materials. I would run a test print before you try doing a production run. Usually the problem is that the ink doesn't take and will smudge off too easily.
