using the laminator to apply large areas of solid cast vinyl to ACM boards - any tips

Stick the board and vinyl in half way, shut the nip, flip vinyl over roller, peel backing, cut backing, step on pedal. I tend to use rapidtac just in case, and keep the vinyl taut as it starts to transition from rolling on vinyl + backing to rolling on just vinyl. It tends to stay taught from there. Roll all the way down one side, then back to half way, flip the other end of vinyl over the rollers, then pull the backing and step on the pedal again.
