SP-300V - Flex Cable Help

Hi,

Recently it has been taking about 20 minutes for my printer to recognize the left pinch roller location. It only happens when I use 30" rolls so I contacted my supplier but they wanted $900 just to come out and replace the flex cable. I would like to do it myself but wanted to see if anyone had the service manual or perhaps could try and walk me through it.
