Hi, I have problems with my Roland SP 540i plotter, it prints black with stripes. I attach my test print, the head is new, changed in February of this year. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks everyone in advance
As mentioned by Roland Tech, go into the service menu and print a test strip, it will do a more detailed one with some smaller bars that might give more insight. However, based on your first photos, it could be simply that you need to play around with the profiles. Is this a new media or is it the same stuff you've always printed on?Hi, i've tryted with High Quality and unidirectional printing, but I still have some ugly white streaks. Here is my latest test print.
Is there any way to save the head or be able to print decently?
Thank you!![]()
Yes it is. As you can see, in the black there is a bit more damage showing in the small bars. You might be able to get away with it for the time being playing around with profiles and not using pure black, rather using a combination of the other colors (CMY). However it does appear that you might need to replace the black/cyan headHi, is this correct?
Most likely a head strike. Thanks for your answers, how is it possible that the head is already ruined after 4 months? Do you think it has already been defective? has been replaced by an official Roland technician
I think the problem was when I printed a banner and the material got stuck during printingMost likely a head strike.
That might have done it. As mentioned, you could try work arounds until you can get a new head.I think the problem was when I printed a banner and the material got stuck during printing![]()
