SP-540V Not communicating

The Computer won't connect and reply to the printer. We've tried resetting the I.P address and tried new cables... still nothing. anyone have any ideas? It did print a status and test page from the control panel on the printer but nothing from the computer. Seems to be a communication problem, but we cannot solve it.

hmmm, not sure what has happened. Try turning the machine off both sub power and main power and leave it sit for a few minutes and turn back on.

You may also want to try a different IP on the printer or computer...i have seen similar issues and this most of the time fixed it.

You could use PrintServer Netool. That is a small program who helps you identify(change)the IP of the printer, or see if the connection is ok between the computer and the printer.
If you "ping" the printer, does it respond back?
