Hey, use it for what it's good for. It provides dimensions that are good enough for quoting, but god help you if you use it for production. This is a sales tool only, it does not replace surveys in any real way, but it does save the initial trip to see how big the sign face is when considering material sizes.

Try Zephyr photogrametry (The free versión is just perfect for that)... Is much more useful when quoting complex facades etc and cost literally 0

I'll look into it, but this is just a device and an app, point and shoot, draw a square, and now you have a forced perspective image to scale of the building. Nothing more, nothing less...

Is not the same. One is photogrametry and the other is just plane mapping... U cant measure properly anything with plane scaling (maybe for budgets), and u need 2 measures on each image plane!! For zephyr u need good complete photos from diferent perspectives (20 for a facade is ok). Then u take any measure, u process the model in any cuda graphic card and u scale the model to fit that measure. Then u can measure everything with lots of precision, no matter the angle or the plane. U can move onto the facade like a vídeo game also, so is great to prepare ACS on CNC with every detail. Try it, is free and u dont need the paid version for anything. I have tried many things and even i made my own software with camera calibration and aruco codes, and zeyphir works much better (works perfect). Also so u can reconstruct the facade fully 3d with textures... And is simply as hell to use

Thanks for reminding me that we have one of these kicking around somewhere. Never actually used it, but seems like it would be helpful for initial site surveys.
